Life Underwriter

 

Comma Recruitment are looking for a talented Life Underwriter to asses financial and medical information to minimize risk for life, critical illness and disability business.

 

• Underwrite new business using sound underwriting guidelines for morbidity and mortality
• Document underwriting methodology and processes
• Communicate with field associates in answering questions, and/or advising unfavourable decisions
• Coach and mentor underwriting team and act as a technical expert on more difficult underwriting issues

Do you have:

 

• Minimum 3+ years in a similar position
• Knowledge of medical/legal terminology is  required
• Knowledge of disability, life and critical illness underwriting
• Working towards or nearing completion of relevant designations ie LOMA, FLMI, or ALU
