Comma Recruitment is looking for a Special Risk Underwriter to work for a leading MGA, experience with P&C underwriting, or experience with other speciality lines / hard to place risks, along with broker relationships and the ability to manage and grow a book of business.

Work closely with our Actuarial and Claims departments and make Underwriting decisions that make sense for all parties.  Looking for a talented underwriter that is passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our internal and external stakeholders and love utilizing their strong technical skills to ensure that risks are assessed properly.

We are experts in our field and passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our brokers – this means emails and phone calls don’t go unanswered, and in-person broker meetings are regularly penned into their calendars.  Working in a collaborative team, there is the opportunity for coaching, mentoring and development from our more experienced underwriters to help grow your appetite of risks.

Comma Recruitment is looking for 2+ years MGA Underwriting experience with:

• Problem-solving and critical thinking
• Customer service and relationship-building
• Completed, or pursuing your CIP designation
• Strong customer service background
• Team-first mentality
