Property Claims with Boiler & Machinery, Assistance with the examination of Aviation, Casualty and Marine claims as required.
Specific Duties:
- Contributing to day to day claims operations through effective adherence to pre-established claims processes while ensuring quality of service.
- Examination and scrutiny of Property claims in both lead and non-lead circumstances.
- Liaison/meeting with loss adjusters, underwriters, carriers, brokers and counsel on status of claim files.
- Processing of invoicing, indemnity payments, wire transfers and maintenance of accounting records.
- Ensuring all information entered into the proprietary claims system is kept up to date and accurate with prompt processing of loss notifications.
- Producing accurate data for the Monthly Claims Report/Underwriting meeting.
- Maintenance of accurate records, scanning documents to the proprietary claims system.
- Preparation of presentations and relevant correspondence as required.
- Claims data entry, file set-up and assignment of claims adjusters.
- Cross training with other team members.
- Ad hoc research and project work as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:
- Post-secondary education
Required Experience:
- 10+ years experience in the area of technical Property claims examination.
- Some background experience and/or knowledge of Aviation, Casualty and Marine Insurance and claims will be an asset.
