Senior Property Adjuster – Complex, with knowledge of Boiler/Machinery $80k- $100k

Property Claims with Boiler & Machinery,  Assistance with the examination of Aviation, Casualty and Marine claims as required.

 

Specific Duties:

 

  • Contributing to day to day claims operations through effective adherence to pre-established claims processes while ensuring quality of service.
  • Examination and scrutiny of Property claims in both lead and non-lead circumstances.
  • Liaison/meeting with loss adjusters, underwriters, carriers, brokers and counsel on status of claim files.
  • Processing of invoicing, indemnity payments, wire transfers and maintenance of accounting records.
  • Ensuring all information entered into the proprietary claims system is kept up to date and accurate with prompt processing of loss notifications.
  • Producing accurate data for the Monthly Claims Report/Underwriting meeting.
  • Maintenance of accurate records, scanning documents to the proprietary claims system.
  • Preparation of presentations and relevant correspondence as required.
  • Claims data entry, file set-up and assignment of claims adjusters.
  • Cross training with other team members.
  • Ad hoc research and project work as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:                                                                

  • Post-secondary education

 

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years experience in the area of technical Property claims examination.
  • Some background experience and/or knowledge of Aviation, Casualty and Marine Insurance and claims will be an asset.
