BILINGUAL MULTIMEDIA DESIGNER – GTA West
SUMMARY:
As a key member of the marketing team, you are a talented Multimedia Designer who can provide creativity and artistic leadership. In this role, you will be responsible for creation and execution of interactive media presentations, and graphic designing. You bring a fresh perspective and innovative ideas, are highly organized, capable of multi-tasking, setting and meeting deadlines. Your ability to deliver compelling solutions, attention to detail and ability to work in extreme deadlines will be key to your success.
Responsibilities:
- Production
- Prepare art for online production
- Assist in developing marketing communications for website
- Manage the web store including sales & inventory tracking, billing, and other general operations
- Design/execute permission-based e-mail marketing campaigns
- Creating Multimedia Presentations
- Create and execute concepts for interactive media including DVD and CD-ROM presentations
- Graphic Designing
- Create layout and design for ads and other marketing materials
- Create PowerPoint presentations
- Offer advice and suggestions on design and implementation of requested materials
- Take digital photographs, scan, and colour correct images
Education:
- Community College diploma or equivalent experience
- Website development and/or multimedia design
- Multimedia/graphic design diploma or graphic communications management degree
Experience:
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in the following areas: DVD production, creation of interactive media, printing, and designing
- Experience with the following applications: DVD Studio Pro, LiveType, Flash, Director, QuarkXpress, Adobe: Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Dreamweaver
- Experience with the following equipment: scanner, digital camera, and DVD burner
Skills Required:
- Must be fluently bilingual (English/French)
- Proficient with MAC and PC environments
- Knowledge of video and editing equipment
- Understanding of various browser/internet server settings
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS using Dreamweaver
- Advanced abilities to utilize Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark files
- Knowledge of Mac OS X and Windows platforms
- Knowledge of Macromedia Flash and action script
- Good understanding of online email technologies
- Must be able to work in a team environment, with little guidance or supervision
- Ability to learn on the go
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be flexible during peak workload projects
- Must be able to adjust to shifting priorities
- Must be able to work within tight deadlines
- Ability to proofread French documents
