Comma Recruitment are looking for 5+ years experience as a Senior PHP Developer,  we need a product (and the supporting underlying architecture/infrastructure) that delivers real value to our users.  The Senior PHP Developer is the individual charged with shipping efficient, scalable code that brings this product to life.  This means:

• Developing technical solutions, building new features/experiences/supporting architectures that create success for our users.
• Making significant architectural decisions and implementing them to create a solid foundational core of our product.
• Collaborating with the product, design, and sales & marketing team members to find the best technical solutions to our business problems.
• Mentoring team members to help them to make informed decisions, to ship more effective code, and to grow as developers.

How the reporting structure works:

Reports to the Team Lead, Engineering; Individual contributor role (no direct reports)

Here’s what you need to be successful.

• You are a seasoned developer with 5+ years of experience working in PHP (LAMP stack is a plus).
• You are adept at systems and architecture design – you’ve developed complex applications in a team environment.  You have a strong understanding of MySQL databases and interacting with them through abstractions or raw SQL queries.
• You’re well versed in agile engineering practices (testing, continuous integration, etc.)
• You value ownership – when you run into bugs, you make sure they’re dealt with, rather than sweeping them under the rug.
• You’re about solving real business problems (and not just writing code for the sake of writing code).

Nice to have skills that Comma Recruitment are also looking for, are experience or exposure to:

• Hands on experience in eCommerce/Marketplace development for high-volume sites (experience with Magento, within the Zend framework is a plus).
• You’ve grown with a company that’s scaled from small to large and understand the engineering requirements of an organization at each lifecycle stage.
• You have experience in modern web technologies – JavaScript (React, Angular, Node.js)

Commercial Account Coordinator – Burlington

Commercial Account Coordinator

Comma Recruitment are looking for 1+years experience with commercial accounts, supporting operationally, coordinating with existing customers on new and renewal business by email and occasionally over the phone.

Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, Located Toronto West, Burlington.

You will be required to:

• Service existing Accounts
• Abeyances – Ensure abeyance items are reviewed/completed on a daily basis and reassign dates as necessary
• Certificates – Coordinates issuance of insurance certificates with client and assigned Process Analyst
• Tracking – Renewal and Change Documents – Prepare tracking sheets and update until all documents have been received and delivered to the insured
• Clients Operations – Develop and maintain basic understanding of clients operations
• Correspondence – Prepare correspondence to insured, brokers and markets as required
• Day to day service of assigned clients – Handle telephone calls, inquiries, coverage changes, review and disbursement of documentation, etc.
• Proof read and edits – All documentation thoroughly prior to sending to the insured or broker, demonstrating a level of attention to detail.

Renewals:

• Ensure renewal process is started on time so timelines can be met
• Gather and prepare information to be sent to the insured
• Request updated claims information

 

Administrative:

• Accounting Discrepancies – Investigate and track accounting discrepancies; review and update accounts receivables for Account Manager. Follow-up with client for outstanding receivables
• Binders, reports, proposals, etc. – prepare as required
• Organize files according to the Department’s protocol as applicable
• Update client and policy information
• Maintain clear documentation
• Meet turn-around time requirements for documentation processing

Service Coordinator / Intake – openings Toronto West and Scarborough

Comma Recruitment are looking for an organized and efficient Intake Service Coordinator with experience working in an IME.

You will work with clients and stakeholders to coordinate appointments, and conduct follow-ups with the upmost attention to customer service.

You’ll deal with clients and stakeholders over the phone as well as via e-mail, making referrals, responding to general inquiries, connecting the client to the right service, and performing intakes from referrals.

No matter what you’re engaged in doing, your focus will always be on providing quality client service as part of our exemplary delivery of service. Putting our clients’ health first, our duty is to help them in the best way possible – and you’ll play a key role in making this happen.

PRIMARY DUTIES

As a highly organized and customer service-oriented Service Coordinator, you will:

• Accept all referrals via phone and email and respond within prescribed Service Level Agreements to referral source
• Ensure appropriate assessments, clinician and clinic team members are identified (contact with referral source and/or clinician may be required)
• Book Initial Assessment with clinic (within 24 hours of referral receipt), as well as complete all accompanying referral correspondence and book post-assessment teleconferences
• Follow up with all referrals, tracking clients in internal tracking system
• Monitor and track reports due in & out on a daily basis to facilitate timely delivery to referral source
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Keep up to date with protocols, procedures and workflows, and ensure correct procedures are met.
• Demonstrate a strong sense of responsiveness in booking the first assessment and follow-ups
• Perform accurate, detailed data entry with notes capture
• Contribute to team success by supporting, and participating in, new staff training

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To take on the key role you must have:

• 2+ years’ customer service experience in an office environment with client-facing responsibilities
• Preferably, hold a college diploma or bachelor’s degree
• Experience in an IME or experience with Disability claims and injuries
• Be proficient in Word and Excel, and a quick adapter to new processes and systems
• Be proactive, solutions-oriented and able to navigate multiple systems and do multiple tasks simultaneously
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Be a natural team player and contributor to team results and success
• Exhibit superior customer service skills that reflect sensitivity to the needs of clients.

Comma Recruitment are looking for experienced Property Claims Adjusters with 3+ years experience investigating, negotiating and settling Property Claims, openings for both Commercial and Personal Lines throughout GTA. Experience with Insurer, independent adjusting firm or TPA.

• Investigate, appraise/scope, confirm coverage, negotiate settlement and recovery, and conduct reporting and documentation of claims in accordance with established guidelines and meet production targets in line with company expectations.
• Ensure the accurate and efficient payment of claim.
• Support company goals by participating in after-hours rotation, back-up needs and/or catastrophe situations.
• Meet production targets in line with company expectations.
• Ensure reports are completed with accuracy and within established timelines
• Mentor and support junior adjusters, as requested by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of property adjusting experience
• Licensed and CIP, FCIP or CRM or willing to work towards certification.
• Commercial Property and General Liability claim handling experience an asset, personal lines claims role is also available
• Strong working knowledge of the principles and practices related to claims settlement, policy wordings, insurance contracts, fraud investigations, serious losses and coverage questions
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple demands and changing priorities.
