Comma Recruitment are looking for Bilingual Inside Special Investigators to join the Investigative Services Team.  In this role, you will analyze and investigate claims, moderate to high levels of complexity alongside assist in triaging claims that require further investigation. There will also be a focus on entering data into our metrics-tracking software.

This is an office-based position and requires minimal travel throughout Ontario.

  • Use our Fraud Detection Software to detect suspicious claims
  • Review and analyze claims from multiple lines, for suspected fraud and determine type and scope of investigation required. Utilize loss control tools and gather essential information from all possible resources to recommend further investigation or close non-suspicious tasks.
  • Use our Fraud Detection Software to detect suspicious claims
  • Liaise with Special Investigation Units to support your investigators
  • Conduct investigations by telephone and using internet technology where required. Document the investigations by collecting and securing proof of fraudulent activities. Provide prompt and detailed reports to claims adjusters and management.
  • Analyze gathered information and evaluate evidence. Contact Police departments to pursue further information when necessary.
  • Provide backup for all Investigative Services admin-related functions, when necessary
  • Provide maintenance and support for the loss and control technology by: responding to queries regarding the system, communicating and coaching on procedures, testing the application, investigating problems and liaising with IT to resolve complex issues.
  • Review and analyze claims from multiple lines, for suspected fraud and determine type and scope of investigation required. Utilize loss control tools and gather essential information from all possible resources to recommend further investigation or close non-suspicious tasks.

Qualifications

  • Insurance related claims investigation experience and fully bilingual French and English
  • Accident Benefits, Bodily injury or Property Damage adjusting experience an asset
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Natural curiosity, persistence and the ability to conduct detailed research.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Solid knowledge of insurance trends, developments and current regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple stakeholders while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Advanced user of standard desktop tools.

JOB PURPOSE

The Aviation Underwriter is responsible for the evaluation and servicing complex and unique accounts with the Specialty Risk division

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the successful management and pricing of designated portfolio of Aviation accounts as well as growing and developing new business.
