Casualty Claims Strategic Manager/ Director
Comma Recruitment are looking for a Casualty Claims Manager with experience in complex AB and BI Adjusting. You will provide technical and strategic guidance as well as analysis and recommendations to Directors and Claims Managers to achieve department objectives.
This is a Senior Management role which will not involve adjusting or managing files, this role is a strategic leadership position for an analytical Claims Manger/Director.
7+ years experience in AB, BI and Litigation, including large, complex and catastrophic claims.
- Assure proper execution and regional regulatory legislative compliance of claim procedures and practices
- Provide advice/guidance in the development of regional employees
- Arrange & participate in quality reviews as required (including other regions)
- Develop appropriate action plans with respect to severity, quality and customer experience
- Develop opportunities identified through reviews, trend analysis and feedback from managers and staff
- Provide advice to Corporate Risk, Data & Analytics and sales partners via participation in team meetings on claim trends, product offerings, coverage concerns
- Provide analysis on actual plan variances and other trends impacting severity and expense plans
- Monitor quality and consistency of all vendors
- Identify needs gaps and monitor implementation of approved solutions designed to enhance quality, cost containment and customer satisfaction results
- Ensures compliant to legislative requirements and identifies risks and participates in action plans to mitigate risk
- Share knowledge, lead/participate/arrange training and other activities for Ontario Casualty
Qualifications & Experience:
- University Degree/College Diploma
- Strong knowledge of legislation requirements and current trends within the P&C insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of casualty claim processes & procedures including rehabilitation concepts
- Must have strong/advanced analytical, communication, and coaching skills
- Enrolled in, or completion of CIP/FCIP
- Minimum of 7-10 years of injury claims experience including catastrophic and complex Bodily Injury litigation claims handling
- Ability to develop, implement, and measure programs and processes that proactively address adverse severity trends
- Superior coaching skills, ability to work with groups, and proven ability to influence others
- Advanced MS Office knowledge, Tableau, Access, etc.
- Able to travel as required
