P&C Underwriting Training Manager

P&C Underwriting Training Manager –  Toronto

Comma Recruitment have an amazing opportunity for a Underwriting Training Manager to lead the training and development of an underwriting team, provide ongoing mentoring, deliver training and develop staff on technical issues, processes and procedures.

You will develop, establish and implement training programs to increase the efficiency of the operations.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Trains employees on systems, processes, or other areas of company operations.
• Keeps abreast of the latest training methods and techniques used in the company’s industry.
• Use cutting-edge technology to deliver high quality service to agents and agencies
• Services a book of business with little to no supervision from a Producer.
• Conducts meetings of Assistant Underwriters to implement new workflows and processes.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 5 years of insurance experience in underwriting with excess and surplus lines preferred
• Experience managing or mentoring a team, delivering training and experience presenting to staff a great asset
• Insurance license preferred
• Strong organizational skills, communication and computer proficiency
