Claims Manager – AB – Three Locations
Comma Recruitment are looking for a self-motivated individual who has the ability to coach and mentor and work effectively with a diverse group to join our claims team, as an Accident Benefits Team Leader. The successful candidate will be required to ensure prompt and equitable settlement of claims, planning, organizing, directing, controlling the operation of AB Claims
You will be responsible for developing and communicating team mandate, giving positive and constructive feedback in a timely manner, developing strategic communication, and creating positive change. Additional responsibilities will include: identifying opportunities for training, both structured and informal, completion of file reviews, audits of service provider facilities and billing practices.
• Train and monitor the progress of all staff
• Schedule one-on-one feedback / additional coaching and mentoring
• Communicate key corporate goals and monitor results
• Deliver performance management
• Participate and / or lead vendor audits and ensure completion
• Produce audit reports and provide feedback to preferred vendors
• Ensure action plans are in place when circumstances dictate
• Completion of monthly open & closed file reviews
• Provide functional leader with monthly progress reports and updates
The Ideal candidate will have competed or working towards CIP/FCIP designation. You will bring a minimum of 2 years leadership experience and 3- 5 years AB caim file experience
Extensive working knowledge of insurance legal environment
• Experience working with defence counsel
• Working knowledge of the Claims Guidelines and Best Practices
• Excellent presentation and negotiating skills
• Superior time management and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to build solid relationships
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Analytical
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced computer skills (MS Office suite)
• Min. 5 years claims experience
• Completion of CIP/FCIP
• A minimum of two years of Leadership experience
