Claims Manager, LTD

Comma Recruitment are looking for an experienced claims case manager with supervisory experience to manage and coordinate our disability claims team.

• Ensuring the team meets productivity and quality standards.
• Assessing workflow and operating procedures to devise the most effective methods of accomplishing work to meet policy and client requirements as the team administers long term disability, rehabilitation and life benefit payments.
• Maintains department effectiveness by recruiting, selecting and co-ordinating training for individuals.
• Leads the performance management process by communicating job expectations and tracking progress and effectiveness of individual activities.
• Communicates with members, claimants, attorneys, physicians, insurers and senior staff regarding complex or contentious claims.

Comma Recruitment are looking for :

• A minimum of five years’ experience in claims or rehabilitation management including a minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• General knowledge of mental health disorders and problems, common physical illnesses and disabilities, personality, functional and vocational assessment tools, cognitive behavioral approaches, and the rehabilitation process.
• Strong knowledge of insurance principles, practices and contracts, underwriting agreements, and LTD products and claims services.
• Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
