Programs Underwriter

Comma Recruitment are looking for a talented Commercial Underwriter to join a leading insurer, the successful candidate will be knowledgeable and be able to provide best in class service to a portfolio of Broker partners for our commercial programs while adhering to targets and goals.
The successful candidate will be an outgoing sales person who is technically strong and comfortable multitasking in a fast paced environment.

• Negotiate terms on new and existing programs
• Recommend innovative solutions
• Participate in broker visits, insurance industry functions and marketing events in support of broker relationship development
• Provide technical advice, recommendations, and mentoring to team members
• Work in collaboration with other internal departments including but not limited to actuary, risk control, claims, marketing, business development, and legal
• Develop and update program agreements
• Oversee the maintenance of programs (renewals, endorsements, etc.)
• Research current trends in the industry pertaining to new and existing programs
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience, Comma Recruitment are looking for a commercial underwriter with:
• University/College degree
• CIP obtained, CRM/FCIP is an asset
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Commercial Underwriting
