Accountant – Payroll / Expense Accounts / Bank Reconciliation

Scarborough / Markham  $50 -$60k

Comma Recruitment are currently looking a talented individual with Accounting experience, comfortable with payroll, expense accounts, journal entries, bank reconciliations, experience with full cycle accounts is preferred but not essential.

Our client uses an outside CA for year end accounting, this team is responsible for month and year end accounting transactions, in preparation for the CA’s annual accounts. You will have a major input into Bi-weekly payroll, expense accounts and various reconciliations.

You will be a key contributor for the Accounting team, working within a national medical / healthcare company.

• Prepare and Analyze financial documents
• Manage bi-weekly payroll
• Assist in month end / year end accounts
• Communicate accounting results to outside Chartered Accountant for final year end accounts preparation
• Manage month end and year end reconciliations, ledgers, expense accounts.

Qualifications

• Qualification in accounting preferred or working towards.
• 2+ years of experience in audit or accounting
• Ability to work with technology and company systems;
• Ability to work in team;
• Excellent communicator
• High level of professionalism
• Ability to negotiate and make quality decisions at the appropriate time;
• Autonomous, able to manage his work, be organized and rigorous;
• Good adaptability
• Strong analytical and critical thinking capability; and, Eager to learn
